Kriste Peoples is a Denver-based outdoor enthusiast and guide, runner, writer, and mindfulness meditation teacher. As a UESCA-certified trail running coach for L2S (and head coach of our beginner course), she shares her passion for outdoor engagement, fitness, and inspiring new narratives of adventure. And now we come to sit: A community gathering

Join local meditation teacher Chaz-Mykl Pace-Gormley for an opportunity to sit and return to yourself. BIPOC centered event, open to all. Bring a cushion, pillow, or towel.

Chaz-Mykl is the founder of Pistols and Peace, an organization whose mission is to cultivate a holistic relationship in the community regarding both physical and mental health and wellness.

As a certified firearms instructor he provides education, training and assistance for those interested in becoming more knowledgeable and proficient with firearms as a form of self defense. As a meditation instructor and intuitive sound healing practitioner, he utilizes mindfulness techniques, breath-work and multiple instruments to help create calming and healing environments for those in attendance at sound bath sessions and meditation workshops.

Chaz-Mykl believes that through these two paths he can highlight the yin and yang, interconnectedness, that exists between them. The same breath-work techniques used in sound healing also help create calmness when training with firearms — “through Pistols and Peace we can create balance in our lives, to better equip us in protecting our own peace”.
