decode recode
July 24-August 30, 2024
Decode Recode is the theme of the ninth iteration of the Digerati Emergent Media Festival. This exhibition highlights festival artists who merge the aesthetics of hand-drawn illustration with animation, crafting dynamic compositions of shape, color, and light. These films will be part of Digerati’s Sonic program in September, offering an immersive experience that harmonizes visual artistry with sound. The full program will be released on August 1st at Denverdigerati.org.
This installation will include video projections designed to be viewed from the outside of the gallery. Decode Recode features works from Tsz-wing Ho (Hong Kong), Nana Kawabata (Japan), Cyrus Leung (Hong Kong), and Yuvia Maini (Sweden). These video projections will be projected externally on the windows of the gallery from 7-10pm during the run of the exhibition.
